Kelly and John, Thanks for choosing me! Cheers!
I’m so excited to share my new business cards and stationary! Is it normal to be obsessed with one’s own business cards? It’s been a while since I’ve totally geeked out over something like this! Anyway, my incredibly talented graphic designer Kathleen Tolmie designed the logo and front and back of the card. It was my goal this year to have a memorable business card and I knew right away that I wanted it printed on crazy thick letterpress paper and of course I had to have edge painting too! I also knew that I wanted them to be standard size. I’m very partial to things being standard sizes. I don’t think anyone needs square, circular or any irregular sized card to stand out. But I do think that good design and having it printed on interesting material matters a lot. I love the way letterpress looks and how the impression of the letters feel, and that aesthetic doesn’t go unnoticed. As I was handing out some of these cards last weekend, someone told me they were “bad-ass,” haha. I wasn’t expecting that at all, but the point is that there were several reactions. Out of the hundreds of business cards that people are handed through out a year, I wanted mine to stand out and become an extension of myself and the ideas that I embrace: minimalism, less is more, good design, high quality and modernism. I also had some matching letterpress stationary made to compliment my new card.

Cheers!

If you haven’t had a chance yet to look at my newest Imagezine, head over to my new website or click here. For the last two years I have been producing a magazine that works as promotional material for potential clients. For the newest volume, I decided that I was ready to have a designer’s input. Kathleen Tolmie took the reins on the design and I love what she came up with! Since I loved the design so much I wanted to have a digital copy for people to see. I always have hard copies printed which is pretty hard to beat, but I love that I can view it digitally too.
It’s always so rewarding to see progress. My first Imagezine was 8 pages, my 2nd Imagezine was 16 pages and the newest one is 20 pages which qualifies for the saddle-stitching, so it will be bound together like an actual magazine instead of folded with staples. I’m so excited to see the printed product of Vol.3!

I’m starting 2012 off with a fresh new look! I’ve been working on my new website for the entire month of December and I finally got it done! I wanted a clean and minimal look, but with style. My old website did the job, but I was ready to move onto something more memorable and more reflective of me. I kept a few favorites from years past, but the majority of the images are from 2011. Many thanks to David Schell for helping me with the more complicated parts of the website, Bob Bardsley and my good friend Meghan Marx for helping with the copy, and not to mention the fabulous Kathleen Tolmie that designed my logo and Imagezine! Thank you all for being a part of this!
